Design and implementaion of the Santa Claus costumes for the luxury department stores KaDeWe in Berlin, Alsterhaus in Hamburg and Oberpollinger in Munich, each house having two Santas entertaining the shoppers in the weeks leading up to Christmas. The request was for something original and non-traditional of high quality, which should match the decoration concept of the stores. The theme was 'A Christmas Journey' through several metropolises, so I created a sophisticated and cosmopolitan, stylish gentleman Santa. My talented seamstress friend Nina Paffrath did all of the measurings and fittings and most of the sewing.
